Business Analyst
Job Description
The business analyst will be responsible for designing business information systems that will improve client company work-flow, production, efficiency and effectiveness. The analyst will meet with the stakeholders to elicit requirements and will, with support from the development team, refine and translate them into detailed design specifications that support an overall product strategy. The Business Analyst will also be responsible for validating that the deliverables are meeting client expectations.
This position is located in beautiful Germantown, WI
Key Responsibilities/Qualifications
- Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of client's organization and industry
- Identifies client organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement
- Develops requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution
- Develops functional specifications and system design specifications for client engagements
- Mapping software requirements against existing systems capabilities
- Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
- Communicates needed changes to Project Manager and development team
- Effective communicator who is well-organized and is proactive
- 5+ years in a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst role on a web application project
- Solid experience with UAT and UML
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Created wireframes & functional specs based on approved business requirements
- Understanding of SEO, Analytics and Web Campaigns are a plus
